Dear Parishioners, It is with a heart full of gratitude that I share with you our 2025 Mission Impact Report. A parish is far more than a building; it is a living, breathing community of Catholics who come together first to worship God in the celebration of the Mass, and then to extend His love and mercy into the wider world through service and witness. As we reflect on the past year, we do so in gratitude for all that has been accomplished and in hope for all that lies ahead.
Take a moment to read through this report and see the lives that are being touched because of your active engagement and generous support of our mission. As your pastor, I am deeply privileged to teach, sanctify, guide and inspire this community toward a deeper knowledge of God’s love, the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and the powerful guidance of the Holy Spirit. Yet, I am constantly reminded that we do not do this alone—we do it Together in Christ.
This report shares data and stories across many aspects of parish life: how we worship and pray, how we grow in faith and knowledge and how we are called to serve others. I am continually amazed at the countless ways the love of Christ shines through our parish, not only today but throughout its 30-year plus history. Truly, the Holy Spirit is alive and moving among us.
We are especially blessed by an active and engaged Pastoral Council, whose commitment to evangelization, formation and community engagement has been remarkable. They have focused on fostering a spirit of welcome and hospitality, as well as prayer, formation and learning—the gift of our minds enriching our hearts. Their “roll up your sleeves and get it done” approach exemplifies what it means to live faith in action. As members of God’s family, we are called to belong, to grow together and to support one another in faith.
Included in this report is our financial account for the fiscal year 2024–2025, completed on June 30th. I am grateful to the Parish Finance Council for their diligent guidance, which has helped us conclude the year positively. This achievement is ultimately a reflection of your generosity and steadfast commitment to our mission of proclaiming the Gospel. Beyond our operating budget, we have raised funds for local charities, the Charity and Development Appeal and our Capital Campaign—Building Our Spiritual Home. Good stewardship of these gifts ensures that our parish continues to thrive as a spiritual home for all.
Over the next two weekends, I will share more about our parish and mission, inviting you to renew your commitment to worship, learn, serve and support. As we grow as faithful Catholic missionary disciples of Jesus, we can trust in His grace and guidance for every step of our journey. Through joys and challenges, this parish remains a place of renewal, refreshment and encounter with Christ.
As I share this Mission Impact Report with you as your pastor, I am filled with profound spirit of gratitude, for God’s blessings, for your generosity and most importantly, for the privilege of walking this journey of faith with all of you here at Saint Bernard of Clairvaux Parish.
We do not do it alone. We do it Together in Christ!
Peace and goodness,
Fr. Fred
