Walking in Faith Toward Christ Our King

11-16-2025Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Dear Parishioners,

A heartfelt thank you for your generous response to our Mission Engagement Commitment Weekend - to all who submitted a card in person, mailed one in, or are still prayerfully discerning your commitment. This intentional time for us as a parish family helps renew our focus on the mission Christ has entrusted to us: to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus and one another.

To celebrate this spirit of community, we will gather this Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. for our Harvest Fest! This free parish event is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a family of faith, to enjoy good, wholesome fun, food, and fellowship. Our many ministries will host activity booths, giving everyone a chance to learn more about parish life and perhaps And a new way to get involved. Let’s take time to enjoy and celebrate the many blessings God showers upon us.

As we approach the close of the liturgical year, you’ll notice that the Mass readings begin to speak of the end times. These apocalyptic passages are not meant to frighten us, but to awaken in us a sense of urgency—to turn our hearts toward conversion, repentance, and deeper faith. They also fill us with hope, reminding us that when we entrust our lives to the Lord, He provides the grace and strength we need for every trial. God protects His people; therefore, let us strive to remain close to Him, in our thoughts, words, and actions, so that His love may truly dwell within us.

Next weekend, we will joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, Christ the King Sunday. This great feast reminds us that there is only one true King, and He is Christ our Lord. Earthly rulers and systems, no matter how well-intentioned, are limited and temporary. True and lasting peace can only come through God our Savior.

After the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Masses, we will hold a Eucharistic Procession with our Lord and King around our parish campus. This procession is a visible reminder that Christ leads us beyond the walls of the Church, into our homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and the world. When we receive the Eucharist, we receive the very living presence of God. We are then sent forth to carry His divine love wherever we go - to the streets we travel, To our families and friends, to all whom we encounter.

May this time of renewal, gratitude, and hope strengthen us to walk faithfully with Christ our King and to be radiant witnesses of His love in the world.

In Christ,

Fr. Fred
