The Invitation of Christ: Follow Me

01-25-2026Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Dear Parishioners,

The life of a Christian is one of continual conversion and transformation, of allowing Christ to shape us more fully into His likeness. This does not mean that Jesus takes away who we are; rather, He takes the goodness already planted within us and perfects it. He transforms our hearts to reflect His love, His mercy, His kindness, and His intimate relationship with the Father.

Jesus the Lamb of God

01-18-2026Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Dear Parishioners,

We now enter a brief period of Ordinary Time in our journey of faith. While it may seem "ordinary" in name, this season invites us to something truly extraordinary: to bring good order to our daily lives by placing the Lord at the center of all we do. Ordinary Time reminds us that holiness is lived out not only in great moments, but in the rhythm of everyday life; through our work, prayer, family life, and even our leisure, when all is directed toward God and His goodness. Let us renew our commitment to live with purpose and order, rooted in Christ.

Feast of the Baptism of the Lord

01-11-2026Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Dear Parishioners,

Merry Christmas! Yes, we are still celebrating Christmas. As Catholics, today's Feast of the Baptism of the Lord brings the Christmas season to its sacred conclusion and opens the door to Christ's public mission.

The Baptism of the Lord is a profound moment in the life of Jesus and in our own lives of faith. Jesus goes to the Jordan not because He needs repentance, but to sanctify the waters of Baptism for all time. As He enters the water, the heavens open, the Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father proclaims, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." From this moment, Jesus begins His public ministry - teaching, healing, forgiving sins, and driving away the power of evil.

Epiphany

01-04-2026Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Dear Parishioners,

Merry Christmas and Epiphany blessings! The word Epiphany means "manifestation" or "revealing." We often use it to describe a moment of insight, when something once unclear suddenly makes sense. Today, on the Solemnity of the Epiphany, we celebrate God's great revelation: His love made visible for all nations in Jesus Christ.

The Solemnity of the Holy Family

12-28-2025Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Merry Christmas!

Christians around the world continue to celebrate the great mystery of Christmas: the Incarnation, God becoming flesh and dwelling among us. This mystery was unfathomable to the people of Jesus' time, and in many ways, it should still leave us in awe today. It reveals the astonishing, generous, and tender love God has for His people. God did not choose exaltation or privilege, but humility. He entered our world vulnerably, revealing that our journey of faith is one of humility, tenderness, and loving care for one another.

Advent Stillness, Christmas Joy

12-21-2025Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Dear Parishioners,

As we enter the fourth Sunday of Advent, the final purple candle joins the others in shining brightly on our Advent wreath. Together they remind us that the Light of Christ is drawing near, just four short days away. These final days before Christmas are often filled with activity and last-minute preparations. But as important as the tree, the decorations, and the gifts may be, even more important is a heart that is ready; ready to receive the peace and love of our God and the incomparable gift of His Son.

Advent Blessings: The Call to Be Still

12-07-2025Weekly ReflectionFr. Fred Adamson

Dear Parishioners,

What a blessing it is to be in this holy season of Advent with our parish prayer challenge to BE STILL. Earlier today, as I sat quietly in our darkened church, I was reminded that Ad- vent means "He is coming." We remember His coming in three ways: He comes in history - Jesus entered our world, became man, and dwelt among us. He taught, healed, forgave, and invited us to know the Father. He came so that we might be his friends. What amazing love was revealed in His coming! He comes in mystery - He is present now whenever we recognize Him in the world: in the Sacraments, in the Scriptures, in acts of kindness and charity, and in the daily moments of grace. He is with us today. He will come in majesty - one day He will return to reconcile all things to Himself. His promise is one of hope, heal- ing, and restoration for our wounded world.
